Privacy Policy

Where your data lives

All of your content is stored on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, that content syncs through your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. The developer cannot access it.

What the app collects

The app collects no analytics, contains no third-party SDKs, and performs no tracking across apps or websites.

Data the app handles

The app handles the following data solely to make the app work. None of it is linked to your identity and none of it is used for tracking.

• Names — household member names you enter.
• Health-adjacent data — dietary preferences and allergens you enter.
• Photos — recipe photos you choose.
• Other user content — recipes, meal plans, grocery lists and pantry items.

Permissions and network use

• Photo library access is requested only to attach photos to recipes.
• Recipe import fetches the URL you provide in order to read the recipe.
• The request goes directly from your device to the website you entered, so that website can see your IP address and standard request information, exactly as if you had opened the page in a browser. The app sends no cookies, credentials or analytics with it.

Recipe images from other websites

When a recipe you saved has an image address from another website, that image is requested from that website only while the recipe is on screen. As with opening any web page, that website can see your device's IP address and standard request information. The app sends no cookies, credentials or identifying information with the request, never loads these images in the background, and stores only the address.

Cooking timers and notifications

If you start a timer on a cooking step, the app asks permission to notify you when that step finishes. Permission is requested at that moment and nowhere else, and the timer and the notification stay on your device. Declining leaves the in-app timer working.

Live Activities

Starting a cooking step timer can also show a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, if you have them enabled. It is generated on your device: the app uses no push notification service, requests no push token and contacts no server to update it.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. The developer never receives your payment details.

Children's privacy

MyMealPlanner is not directed at children, and because the app collects no data and performs no tracking, no personal information about children is ever gathered by the developer.

Deleting your data

You can delete any content directly in the app, and deleting the app removes its local data. Data stored in iCloud is managed through your own iCloud settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after an update means the revised policy applies.
